One city, two very different ends
Peoria is long and narrow. The southern end, around Old Town and Grand Avenue, is an established part of the West Valley a few minutes from Loop 101. The northern end reaches past Happy Valley Road to Vistancia, WestWing Mountain and the shore of Lake Pleasant, more than 20 miles away. Both ends are Peoria, but they are not the same job for a car carrier.
South and central Peoria are simple. Trucks come off Loop 101 at Olive, Peoria Avenue, Thunderbird or Bell and are at most addresses within minutes. Our Peoria office is on Thunderbird Road near 79th Avenue, in the middle of that area. North Peoria takes a little more planning. Carriers reach it by Loop 303, Happy Valley Parkway or Lake Pleasant Parkway, and they usually combine those stops with pickups in Surprise or Sun City West to make the trip worthwhile. That can mean a slightly wider pickup window, so if you live north of Happy Valley Road, give us a few extra days of lead time when you can.
Boats, RVs and Lake Pleasant
Lake Pleasant is the Phoenix area's main boating lake, and Peoria is full of people who keep a boat for it. We arrange transport for boats on trailers, along with motorhomes and travel trailers. These aren't priced through the online quote form, because the equipment and the measurements differ for every load. Call the Peoria office and have these ready: the overall length including the trailer tongue and the outboard or swim platform, the height at the tallest point when it's sitting on the trailer, the width at the widest point, and an approximate weight.
Before pickup, drain the bilge, livewells and water tanks, bring the fuel down to a quarter tank or less, disconnect the batteries, and remove or tie down anything loose, such as covers, cushions, electronics and antennas. If the boat will travel on its own trailer, check the tires, wheel bearings and lights. A trailer that has only made short runs to the launch ramp may not be ready for a thousand highway miles. If the boat is in a storage yard or marina, send us the office hours and a contact who can release it.
Winter residents in north and central Peoria
Trilogy at Vistancia, Westbrook Village and the retirement communities next door in Sun City draw winter residents from Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Wisconsin and Michigan. If you split the year between Peoria and a home up north, shipping your car each direction saves two long drives a year and the wear that comes with them.
A few habits make seasonal shipping easier. Use the same vehicle details every time so your quotes stay comparable. Decide who will meet the truck if you fly in after the car arrives; a neighbor or a property manager can sign for it if you arrange that with them. And keep your delivery inspection report from each trip until the next one, so you always have a recent record of the car's condition.

Deliveries to newly built homes
Much of north Peoria is still being built. New streets in Vistancia, Aloravita and the communities along Lake Pleasant Parkway don't always show up on a driver's GPS, and some are shared with construction traffic. When you book a delivery to a new home, send us the nearest major cross streets, and a map pin if you can. Tell us if the street or driveway is unfinished. The driver may unload at the community entrance, where there is pavement and room to work, and you drive the last few blocks.
Leave the car in Arizona, or take it north?
Some winter residents leave a vehicle in the garage from May to October. Others would sooner have it with them up north. If you're undecided, weigh one round trip of shipping against a second insurance policy, a battery maintainer, and the chance of coming back to flat-spotted tires and sun-dried rubber seals. For a newer car you'd drive all summer, shipping usually wins. For an older second car that only gets used in Arizona, leaving it behind may be fine.
Shipping during monsoon season
Arizona's monsoon season runs from mid-June through September. In the West Valley that means walls of dust, sudden heavy rain and, some afternoons, flooded washes and closed roads. Carriers keep working through it, but a driver may hold off loading or unloading for an hour or two while a storm passes, and a closed road north of Happy Valley can push a pickup to the next morning.
A car on an open trailer may arrive dusty after a storm. That washes off and isn't damage. Take clear photos before pickup so the condition of the paint is documented. If you'd prefer the vehicle stay out of the weather entirely, ask for an enclosed quote.
Spring training at the Peoria Sports Complex
The Padres and Mariners train in Peoria every February and March, and game days bring heavy traffic to 83rd Avenue, Bell Road and the P83 district. If your address is near the ballpark, we'll steer your pickup to the morning or to an off day.

Peoria car shipping questions
Have a different one? Call (623) 254-6461.
Do you ship boats from Lake Pleasant marinas and storage yards?
Yes, by custom quote. We need the boat's measurements on its trailer, the yard's release hours and a contact there. Call the Peoria office and we'll price it for you.
Is it harder to get a carrier out to Vistancia or north Peoria?
It isn't harder, but it can take a day or two longer to schedule because fewer trucks pass that way. Booking a little earlier solves it.
Will a dust storm damage my car on an open trailer?
Dust and rain leave a vehicle dirty, not damaged. Photograph the car before pickup and inspect it at delivery as you normally would. Enclosed transport is available if you want it fully covered.
